About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Environmental Manager to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks team, supporting our Water Sector clients. In this role, you will work closely with the Water Business Unit Managing Director and Senior Leaders to implement Kier's Sustainability Strategy and drive environmental excellence across the Water Business Unit. You will provide specialist environmental support and compliance advice throughout all project phases from pre-construction to construction, ensuring sustainability and innovation are embedded in our projects.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring client reporting requirements are met and promoting Kier's Sustainability Strategy to clients
- Chairing local forums to drive innovation, best practice, and progress towards sustainability goals
- Engaging with pre-construction and operational teams to ensure understanding and application of Kier's Standards and Minimum Standards
- Ensuring compliance with all environmental statutory requirements, accredited processes, procedures, and contract-specific requirements including permit and licence applications
- Reporting on environmental performance to the Head of Environment and the Water Business Unit Senior Leadership team
Experience
- Proven extensive experience in an Environmental Management role within the construction industry.

Qualifications
- Relevant degree or diploma in an environmental discipline or equivalent.
- Chartered Environmentalist or membership of a relevant professional body (or demonstrable IPD/CPD equivalent), or Diploma in Environmental Management or similar.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
