About the Role
Help us raise the funds that give British wildlife a second chance. Secret World Wildlife Rescue is looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and experienced Senior Fundraiser to generate the sustainable income needed to support our wildlife rescue, rehabilitation and release work. This is a varied, hands-on fundraising role with the opportunity to make a genuine impact. You will develop existing income streams while identifying new opportunities to grow support for our charity.
A key part of the role will be researching opportunities and producing compelling applications to trusts and foundations, alongside developing legacy giving, corporate partnerships, individual giving, fundraising appeals and supporter relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
- Researching and applying to trusts, foundations and other grant funders
- Developing a strong pipeline of funding opportunities
- Creating engaging fundraising appeals and campaigns
- Developing legacy fundraising and supporter journeys
- Building relationships with new and existing corporate partners
- Developing relationships with individual donors and supporters
- Identifying new opportunities to generate sustainable income
- Supporting community and third-party fundraising
- Working with colleagues across Secret World to identify projects and funding needs
- Monitoring fundraising performance and income against agreed targets
- Maintaining accurate supporter and fundraising records
- Ensuring fundraising activity meets the Code of Fundraising Practice, UK GDPR and relevant legislation
Experience
Proven experience in fundraising, income generation or a closely related role is essential. Experience of trust and foundation fundraising, legacy fundraising, corporate partnerships or charity fundraising would be particularly valuable.

You are motivated by achieving results and growing sustainable income, committed to ethical and responsible fundraising, and passionate about supporting the work of Secret World Wildlife Rescue.
