About the Role
Join the Greenkeeping and Estates team at the historic Hanbury Manor Marriott Hotel & Country Club, set within 200 acres of Hertfordshire parkland and featuring a championship golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus II and Golden Bear Design Associates. This senior role involves maintaining and driving the standards of the golf course and grounds to ensure a pleasant and professional appearance. Key responsibilities include monitoring the property grounds, mowing, edging, raking leaves, maintaining flower beds and baskets, cleaning and refuelling equipment, removing trash, maintaining fountains and planters, repairing sidewalks and paths, and operating tractors, trucks, and utility vehicles. You will work closely under the guidance of the Head Greenkeeper and alongside the existing team to present the course and estate to the highest standards. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of course maintenance and construction duties, contributing to the upkeep of a venue that hosts professional golf tournaments and international sports teams.

Experience
Ideally 1-2 years' previous experience in a similar greenkeeping or turf maintenance role.

About you
Self-motivated team player with a positive "can do" and practical attitude. Flexible approach to work with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A desire to further develop skills, training, and experience in the turfgrass industry. Ability to produce a high standard of work consistently.

Qualifications
Full UK driving licence required. NVQ Level 2 in sports turf is advantageous but not essential. PA1 spraying qualification required; PA2 and PA6 spraying and basic chainsaw qualifications are desirable but not essential. Willingness to learn and develop professionally is essential.
