About the Role
The Senior Manager, Sustainable Procurement within Liberty Blume Procurement Services (LBPS) will play a pivotal role in driving sustainable procurement practices across our suppliers and customers. This role requires collaboration with LBPS teams, suppliers, and customers to embed sustainability throughout the supply chain, build a culture of resilience, and ensure compliance with relevant sustainability standards. The successful candidate will be motivated, hard-working, and passionate about sustainable procurement, with experience in sustainability and risk management. An understanding of the evolving procure-tech landscape and its potential to support a resilient and sustainable supply chain is highly valued.
Key Accountabilities
- Deliver market intelligence and best-in-class examples to embed sustainable practices in sourcing strategies, supplier evaluation, monitoring, and contractual negotiations.
- Design, manage, and update procurement documentation supporting source-to-contract processes and sustainability goals, including policies, strategies, training materials, and contractual clauses.
- Support sustainability impact assessments of suppliers, including reviewing and scoring supplier screening and RFP responses.
- Lead and coordinate the annual EcoVadis sustainability assessment campaign, ensuring supplier engagement, accurate data submission, and progress reporting.
- Collaborate with suppliers to improve sustainability performance through audits, carbon reduction, and engagement programmes.
- Engage with industry networks and forums to share best practices and raise LBPS’s profile.
- Integrate social responsibility considerations into supplier evaluations, ensuring compliance with labour standards, human rights, and ethical business practices.
- Use and develop data management tools to ensure accurate data processing, analysis, and reporting to support decision-making and monitor environmental impact.

Experience
- Proven experience in sustainability within procurement and supply chain, ideally from a blue-chip in-house procurement team or consulting/professional services.
- Strong knowledge of sustainable procurement principles, environmental standards, and social responsibility frameworks including EU regulations and certifications such as ISO 20400, GRI, CIPS Sustainability Index, CSRD, CSDDD, and CBAM.
- Experience leading teams, including training, mentoring, and coaching junior staff.
- Skilled in data collection, analysis, and reporting using tools such as PowerPoint, Visio, PowerBI, and Excel.
- Familiarity with sustainability risk assessment tools like Moody's, EcoVadis, and Dun & Bradstreet (D&B).
- Experience working cross-functionally with customer leads, functional teams, and senior leadership to ensure alignment and momentum.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred in procurement, supply chain management, sustainability, risk management, or related field.
- Advanced degree or relevant certifications in sustainability and/or risk management are desirable.
