About the Role
The Soil Association Policy Department is recruiting a Senior Policy Officer to support policy development, advocacy, and political influencing related to farming and food. This role includes acting as the focal point for the Sustainable Nitrogen Alliance, hosted by the Soil Association on behalf of 12 organisations. This provides opportunities to develop expertise in a topical policy area and work closely with a wide range of partners and advocate to varied target audiences. You will contribute to the Soil Association's mission to transform the food and farming system by engaging in policy analysis, advocacy, and coordination of partners.

Experience
Proven ability to contribute to policy analysis and advocacy, compile briefings and reports, and represent the organisation at policy consultations and events. Experience coordinating and motivating a wide range of partners is essential.
About You
You will have good knowledge of agroecological farming and environmental issues, with at least a passing knowledge of the wider food system and sustainable diets. You should demonstrate aptitude for managing policy and/or research projects and the ability to make a compelling case for policy change to policy and political audiences.
