About the Role
Fluence is a global market leader delivering intelligent energy storage and optimization software for renewables and storage, helping to create a more resilient grid and unlock the full potential of renewable portfolios. As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead the execution of turn-key EPC/core only projects with the objective to deliver projects on-time, on-budget, and without incidents or accidents. Reporting to the Head of Projects, UK & Ireland, this role requires an autonomous and pragmatic individual experienced in working within a matrixed and virtual environment, managing multiple stakeholders and projects simultaneously as part of a global team.
You will have P&L responsibility for projects valued at $30M+, ensuring all projects are delivered safely, to code, on time, on budget, and to customer satisfaction. Your work will align with an internal quality program certified to ISO 9001, emphasizing continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include leading turn-key EPC battery energy storage projects from contract collaboration through to successful handover, managing engineering design reviews, project schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and safety/quality plans. You will rapidly resolve technical issues, manage relationships with EPCs, equipment delivery partners, contractors, and sub-contractors, and ensure compliance with safety guidelines on job sites.
You will proactively collaborate with customers, suppliers, partners, sales, and senior management to meet project deliverables and contract requirements. Evaluating construction methods to optimize cost-effectiveness and value engineering opportunities will be part of your role. You will also participate in business improvement initiatives, support contract negotiations, and oversee budget reviews, revenue, and cash flow forecasts alongside the project finance team.
Strong communication skills are essential, as you will represent Fluence with executives, regulatory officials, and supply chain leadership.
