About the Role
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Renewable Energy Engineer to join an organisation delivering heating and renewable energy services within the social housing sector. You will strengthen the renewables team and support the development of less-experienced engineers. Your role will involve servicing, maintaining, and repairing renewable energy systems including air source heat pumps, ground source heat pumps, mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, exhaust air heat pumps, and solar systems.
You will conduct site assessments, identify technical faults, recommend improvements to system performance, and provide customers with guidance on operating and maintaining their renewable energy systems. Working closely with the wider engineering team, you will help develop effective technical solutions, support engineers developing their renewables experience, and ensure all work complies with industry regulations and safety standards.
Experience
- Relevant practical trade experience
- Established technical background in at least one of the following: air source heat pumps, ground source heat pumps, refrigeration or F-gas systems, ventilation systems, or exhaust air and mechanical ventilation systems
- Experience delivering high levels of customer service
- Experience working within social housing is desirable but not essential

- Strong technical knowledge of renewable heating or ventilation systems
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse customer base
- Genuine enthusiasm for renewable technology
- Ability to work independently and alongside the wider engineering team
- Full UK driving licence with fewer than six points and ability to cover Guildford and surrounding areas
Qualifications
- Valid ACS qualifications and other relevant gas qualifications
