About the Role
Are you an experienced Sustainability Consultant looking for a new challenge? Buro Happold is seeking a Senior Sustainability Consultant to join a well-established and passionate sustainability team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on iconic UK-based and global projects. You will manage the BREEAM/WELL documentation process, including project specifications, calculations, plans, and submittals to ensure compliance. In this job leader and client-facing role, you will lead technical discussions on various sustainability topics, provide advice to secure certification compliance, conduct sustainability certification assessments, and support the implementation of required strategies in design phases.
You will undertake embodied carbon and whole life carbon assessments using OneClickLCA, develop impactful circular economy strategies for new build or retrofit buildings, and successfully submit sustainability statements for planning applications addressing comments from local planning authorities or the GLA. You will provide task leadership, direction, and mentorship to junior team members, produce technical guidance and analysis to align with project sustainability strategies, and deliver high-quality written reports and presentations. Working as part of multidisciplinary teams, you will collaborate with architects, planners, government agencies, and clients. The role requires proficiency across numerous software platforms including Microsoft Office and InDesign, as well as a solid understanding and implementation of project management principles.
