About the Role
We are seeking a Senior individual to join our UK Sustainability team during a period of growth. You will lead small to medium advisory commissions or defined workstreams, coordinating people and resources, assuring quality and acting as a reliable specialist to clients. Assignments may include portfolio certification, decarbonisation workstreams, life-cycle assessment programmes or EDD rollouts. Responsibilities include day-to-day accountability for commissions or workstreams, including scope, programme, resources, risk, quality and budget. You will define and lead the technical approach within delegated authority, producing and reviewing clear outputs and recommendations. Managing client communications, workshops, expectations, actions and interfaces with other disciplines will be key. You will coordinate small teams, delegate work, review outputs and provide constructive feedback and coaching. Additional duties include managing fees, budgets, invoicing intervals, identifying change and raising opportunities for additional services. You will draft technical sections of bids and fee proposals and support client interviews or presentations where applicable. Continuous improvement is encouraged through developing methods and tools, sharing knowledge, contributing to training and ensuring consistent adoption. Supporting line management and promptly escalating contractual, technical or strategic risks is also required. Success will be measured by delivery to agreed scope, quality, programme and budget, trusted client relationships, well-managed change, contribution to repeat or additional work, development of junior team capability and meaningful contribution to bids and service improvement. As a Gleeds team member, you will have access to career development opportunities, a contributory pension scheme, Employee Assistance Programme and flexible working arrangements.
