About the Role
This is your chance to use your social and environmental sustainability knowledge alongside your communication and relationship management skills as a Senior Sustainability Engagement Manager within Lloyds Banking Group's Group Sustainable Business External Engagement team. The team acts as a bridge between Lloyds Banking Group and the wider social and environmental sustainability community, building trusted relationships with leading NGOs and global membership bodies, and contributing at international forums such as Climate Week NYC and the UN Conferences of the Parties.

In this role, you will lead and refine external engagement strategies that are outcome-focused and aligned with business objectives. You will elevate the Group’s visibility at prominent sustainability events like COP and London Climate Action Week, cultivate connections with clients, investors, NGOs, and other key partners, and represent the Group in high-level forums to bring external perspectives that inform strategy and action.

Key responsibilities include preparing high-quality briefings and speaker notes for Senior Executives, managing external organisational memberships and consultation responses, responding to executive-level correspondence on sustainability topics, and identifying opportunities to enhance the Group’s reputation through awards and thought leadership. You will champion efficiency and innovation within the team, leveraging technology such as AI to improve productivity and impact. As a leadership team member, you will also coach and develop colleagues to perform at their best.

Requirements

Experience
- Proficient understanding of environmental and community sustainability.
- Demonstrated track record in engaging with high-level decision-makers including C-suite executives and board members.
- Experience preparing and delivering high-impact briefings for executive leadership.
- Proven ability to plan and execute major global events with responsibility for outcomes and impact measurement.
- Ability to deliver outstanding results efficiently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience building and developing strong internal and external relationships.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders to deliver initiatives for mutual benefit.
