About the Role
The Senior Sustainable and Healthy Buildings Consultant plays a critical role in advancing sustainability initiatives by managing complex projects or portfolios within a single account. This role leads efforts to pursue certifications that validate and enhance building performance, ensuring seamless integration of sustainability attributes across projects while delivering scope on budget and on schedule. The Consultant coordinates internal and external stakeholders, provides technical expertise, mentorship, and develops long-term client relationships. As a senior team member, you will manage project workflows, oversee junior staff, perform quality assurance reviews, and contribute to practice-level organization and staff resourcing. You will also support business development and foster productive communication across the firm.

Requirements

Experience
5-8 years of experience in green building or sustainability project management, including at least six years managing green building projects. Proven ability to manage complex certification workflows and lead teams.

About you
Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, initiate, deliver, and control projects effectively. Ability to exercise independent judgment and adapt standard approaches to complex issues. Excellent leadership, mentorship, and communication skills. Commitment to sustainability principles and continuous professional growth.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, environmental science, sustainability, planning, or related disciplines. Relevant coursework or internships in sustainability, green building, or project management. Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Supervisory Responsibilities
May supervise a small team and mentor other team members. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, assigning work, appraising performance, and resolving issues in accordance with organizational policies and laws.

Travel Requirements
Infrequent travel up to 5% of the time, including overnight or multiple days.
