About the Role
Join AECOM, the world’s trusted infrastructure consulting firm, and be part of a global team delivering projects that create a positive and tangible impact worldwide. We have opportunities for experienced hydrogeologists and groundwater experts at senior/principal levels to support activities across the UK and internationally. You will work alongside a team of 30+ groundwater specialists on diverse projects including groundwater source investigation, dewatering, groundwater flooding, impact assessments for major infrastructure schemes, water management, and strategy development for sustainable resource use. We pride ourselves on capturing high-quality data, conceptualising complex systems, and developing cost-effective, sustainable solutions. Your expertise will contribute to projects spanning water resources, engineering hydrogeology, and environmental consenting stages from optioneering through to delivery consents. You will also support clients such as Water Companies, Bottled Water Suppliers, mining operations, and energy transition initiatives including ground source heat and geothermal projects. This role offers the chance to make a real difference while working in a dynamic, collaborative environment focused on innovation and sustainability.
Experience
- Proven experience working in groundwater and the water environment industry
- Experience advising on hydrogeological conceptualisation and delivering water resources and engineering hydrogeology projects
- Experience working on UK, Ireland, and international projects is desirable

Qualifications
- BSc Hons degree in Geology, Geography, or a related field
- Relevant MSc in a practical environment-related subject
- Membership of a relevant professional body with an aim to achieve chartered status in the future
