Full Time - 37 hours per week, working on a 4-week rota: 7 days on, 2 days off, 7 days on, 2 days off, 7 days on, 3 days off. Additional enhancement paid for weekend working. Hours vary seasonally with more hours in summer than winter.

£28,598.00 - £31,022.00 per annum

About the Role
Are you passionate about recycling and enjoy managing staff? Warwickshire County Council is committed to reducing waste and its environmental impact by providing excellent recycling facilities across the county. We are seeking a Mobile Site Supervisor to oversee the operation of Warwickshire Recycling Centres, primarily based at Hunters Lane Household Waste Recycling Centre in Rugby, with responsibility to cover other centres as needed.

In this role, you will ensure excellent customer service, improve recycling rates on site, and maintain strict adherence to Health and Safety standards. Working outdoors in all weather conditions, you will supervise staff, support and advise the public on recycling, operate and maintain plant equipment, keep the centres clean and tidy, and complete site-related paperwork. We are committed to staff development and provide relevant training.

Recycling Centres operate every day of the week, and flexibility to work shifts and travel across the county to provide cover is essential.

Experience
Proven experience managing staff and a genuine interest in waste minimisation and recycling are essential. Experience working outdoors and operating machinery is required.

About you
You will have excellent communication skills, able to work well within a team and use your own initiative. You must be physically capable of manual work, flexible in your approach, willing to work shifts, and able to travel across the county to provide cover as needed.

Qualifications
Fluency in spoken English is required to provide accurate advice to the public. Relevant training will be provided as part of staff development.
