About the Role
Wates Property Services is seeking an experienced Site Surveyor to join a successful and long-standing social housing contract delivering planned maintenance and retrofit programmes. This is an excellent opportunity for a surveyor looking to make a real impact within occupied homes while contributing to the delivery of sustainability and energy-efficiency improvements across social housing stock. You will work closely with operational teams, residents, clients and subcontractors to survey properties, produce scopes of work, support project delivery and ensure works are completed to the highest standards of quality, compliance and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include carrying out detailed property surveys across occupied social housing properties, assessing and specifying planned maintenance, refurbishment and retrofit requirements, producing accurate schedules of works, specifications and cost information, and conducting pre-start, progress and post-inspection surveys. You will support the delivery of retrofit measures such as External Wall Insulation (EWI), Internal Wall Insulation (IWI), loft and cavity insulation, window and door replacements, Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP), Solar PV installations and ventilation improvements.

Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, building standards and client requirements is essential. You will liaise with residents, site teams, subcontractors and client representatives throughout project delivery, monitor quality standards and identify remedial actions where necessary, and support contract performance through accurate reporting and record keeping.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a well-established, secure contract with a strong pipeline of work, be part of a business committed to improving homes and communities, and benefit from career development and progression opportunities within a collaborative and supportive team environment.
