About the Role
To lead and coordinate the integration of sustainability, net-zero carbon and climate resilience across the Combined Authority’s Asset Management function, turning strategic intent into deliverable programmes and measurable results. The role drives the Authority’s Climate Emergency commitments by setting clear pathways and standards across the asset lifecycle, managing environmental and climate risks, and ensuring every asset, new and existing, contributes demonstrably to local, regional and national targets.
Experience
Proven track record as a sustainability professional within the built environment. Experience influencing multi-disciplinary teams and suppliers. Familiarity with frameworks such as PAS 2080, BREEAM and MEES.

An accomplished and collaborative professional with advanced analytical skills. Outcomes-focused approach aligned with public-sector values. Qualifications
Relevant degree and/or professional accreditation such as IEMA, CEnv, or engineering.
