About the Role
As a Sustainability Manager at Atlas Copco, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of the Sustainability roadmap across the SUN division, ensuring alignment with the business area intent. Your mission is to build, execute, and establish a sustainably compliant operational footprint. This senior role reports to the VP of Engineering and involves collaborating with all functions to strategically prioritise and transform the division in line with our strategy to enable sustainable product, operational, and sourcing solutions.
You will identify risks and opportunities to establish resilient infrastructure demonstrating best practices in the market. You will collaborate with divisional leadership teams to build and implement a sustainability roadmap aligned with divisional strategy and SBTi commitments, addressing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) requirements.
Key responsibilities include leading the development and execution of sustainability initiatives covering Carbon, Energy, Water, Waste, and Biodiversity, engaging with supply chain leaders to identify partners supporting compliance, and supporting leadership and product companies in developing operational sustainability improvement projects aligned with net zero goals.
You will work closely with Engineering, Marketing & Product Management, Procurement, and Operations teams to ensure product development supports market-leading sustainable solutions. Additionally, you will contribute to the overall transition plan for the Semiconductor business area, identifying competency gaps and informing training needs.
Maintaining the division’s sustainability reporting and compliance with Atlas Copco climate targets, including SBTi, and aligning with financial measures will also be a critical part of your role.
