About the Role
Are you passionate about creating a more sustainable future and ready to make a real impact at scale? Join Travelodge, one of the UK's most recognisable hotel brands, as we embed sustainability into everything we do. As Sustainability Manager, you will be at the heart of delivering our Better Future Plan, turning strategy into action through real projects and measurable progress. Your responsibilities will include managing our full carbon footprint, advancing energy initiatives, and supporting circular economy and nature programmes. You will work closely with the Director of Sustainability to ensure goals are met, progress is tracked, and our annual Better Future report clearly communicates our achievements.
You will play a key role in governance and reporting by preparing insights and data for sustainability committees, ensuring compliance with regulations such as SECR, ESOS, and TCFD, and maintaining robust records to support transparency and accountability. Your attention to detail and ability to analyse complex information will help identify risks, highlight progress, and keep our sustainability strategy on track.
Success in this role depends on your ability to build strong relationships across the business—from Operations and Property to Procurement and IT—and collaborate confidently with external partners and consultants. You will communicate clearly, present your work effectively to senior leaders, and help create momentum behind initiatives that make a tangible difference.
Travelodge is committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can be their true self and belong. We celebrate diversity and care about our colleagues' wellbeing through our "Better Me" programme, which supports emotional, physical, financial, and work wellbeing.
