About the Role
As a Sustainable Energy & Water Officer at Tower Hamlets Council, you will play a key role in delivering modern, resilient, and effective energy systems that benefit the diverse community of Tower Hamlets. You will work on some of the most exciting and pioneering infrastructure and net zero initiatives in the country, contributing to sustainable development and utilities delivery within a complex urban and political environment. You will be part of a strong, supportive team culture that values professional and personal growth, working within the prestigious Infrastructure Planning Service. Experience
- Degree (undergraduate or post-graduate) in utilities, climate change, sustainability, energy, water, or a related discipline
- Knowledge of sustainable development (essential) and sustainable utilities delivery (desirable) in a political, urban environment
- Familiarity with key project management techniques, tools, and processes to enable successful project delivery
- Understanding of climate change impacts, risks, and opportunities in a diverse borough like Tower Hamlets
