The Water Utilities Division is our centre of excellence for addressing the UK and Ireland's water and wastewater challenges, delivering safe water supplies, preventing urban flooding, and improving river and coastal health. We provide a full project life cycle service from advisory and feasibility studies to detailed design.
As Technical Director - Water Resources Planning, you will play a key leadership role within a multidisciplinary team of climate scientists, data scientists, engineers, environmentalists, hydrogeologists, hydrologists, managers, and planners. You will provide strategic direction, quality assurance, lead innovation, and strengthen client relationships. Your responsibilities will include growing the business, leading diverse advisory projects and strategic/feasibility studies, and mentoring the next generation of water resource planners.

Experience
- Relevant degree in water resources, engineering, or related field
- Proven experience leading delivery of regional plans, Water Resource Management Plans, and/or Drought Plans
- Strong communication skills with effective collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams
- Excellent knowledge of the UK water regulatory framework
- Deep understanding of water supply-demand balance components and forecasting
- Significant expertise in options appraisal
- Experience preparing successful bids and engaging with clients

Qualifications
- Chartered status with a recognised Professional Institution (desirable)
