About the Role
You will be the Technical Sales Manager for the Johnstone's Stormshield Render and External Wall Insulation (EWI) business, responsible for expanding relationships through multiple channels. This regional role involves regular contact with Social Housing asset management teams, Design Engineers, Retrofit Designers, Architects, and Contractors at all levels. Reporting to the National Technical Sales Manager, you will develop and manage key client relationships and support the delivery of technical solutions.
Key responsibilities include surveying, designing, and specifying custom technical EWI and Render documentation/specifications following business and industry standards. You will build a network of architectural and design practices, new build and retrofit designers, and design engineers to identify opportunities related to Render and EWI. You will identify social housing decarbonisation and retrofit refurbishment opportunities and collaborate with asset management, Eco managers, and design/delivery teams.
Supporting the Johnstone's Stormshield national network of approved installers, you will deliver approved applicator training before the supply of full EWI systems. Additionally, you will train and upskill PPG employees within the trade business to share technical knowledge, best practices, and product/system training. Working within a set pricing structure, you will support the trade business with material and system calculations to secure sales.
You will develop unique project specifications (Golden Thread Specs) to minimize substitution risks through innovation, color, and support. Collaborating closely, you will manage specified projects from lead specification stages through to sales opportunity pipeline conversion.
