About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, qualified, and self-motivated HGV Driver to join the Waste & Recycling Team as a Waste Collection Round Leader (2 posts available). As a Round Leader of a small crew, you will demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills to engage with colleagues and members of the public in a polite and professional manner. You will be a team player, quick learner, and capable of carrying out a range of duties including the use of vehicle in-cab devices, moving, handling, and loading refuse, recycling, garden, and food waste. The role requires working with minimum supervision. The work involves driving, operating machinery, and heavy manual labour, so you must be physically fit and mobile. Experience with rear-steer vehicles is advantageous. A willingness to train and operate a wide variety of vehicles and equipment is essential.

Experience
Experience driving HGVs is essential. Experience of rear-steer vehicles would be advantageous.

About you
You must be a team player with good communication and customer service skills, able to work independently and as part of a crew. Physical fitness and mobility are required due to the nature of the work involving heavy manual labour and machinery operation. A willingness to learn and train on various vehicles and equipment is essential.

Qualifications
It is essential to hold a valid HGV Driving License Class C and a valid Driver's Qualification Card (DQC). You must have the skills to manoeuvre large vehicles in restricted and difficult areas. A DBS check is not required for this post.
