We are currently recruiting a Water Treatment Plant Operative to join our Engineering Department at our fresh potato packing site in Boston, Lincolnshire. In this role, you will operate daily water treatment plant tasks including chemical dosing, pressing off, and level checking. You will maintain accurate records of chemical usage and water quality readings, coordinate with the Engineering Manager for ordering chemicals and supplies, and assist maintenance engineers with planned and reactive plant maintenance activities. Additional responsibilities include checking all site fuel tanks daily and reporting levels, ensuring the plant environment is clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety standards, and carrying out duties such as grass cutting using tractor-driven equipment as needed.

Experience
Previous experience in water treatment operations or related industrial/environmental roles is preferred.

You have strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards. You are able to work well independently and within a team, possess good communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and management, and are physically fit to undertake manual tasks as required.
