Our dynamic two-year Graduate scheme is an exceptional launchpad for your career as a Sustainability Engineer. The program uniquely combines technical expertise with professional development through two enriching learning journeys. You'll gain hands-on experience alongside industry-leading teams, equipping you with essential skills and knowledge to thrive in your engineering career. From day one, you'll benefit from a personalised on-the-job training plan tailored to the Sustainability department, allowing you to apply your technical knowledge in real-world settings with ongoing support from experienced professionals. You’ll actively contribute to a variety of projects, gaining invaluable experience every step of the way.

We are also committed to enhancing your essential soft skills, ensuring you develop a well-rounded skill set that complements your technical abilities with effective communication, collaboration, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure sustainability targets are met, with an emphasis on delivering low-carbon buildings
- Quantify and analyse the carbon footprint of materials from extraction to end-of-life stages
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to identify low-carbon materials and construction techniques
- Assist in delivering the BakerHicks Sustainability initiative and business plan

Qualifications
Achieving a relevant MSc and/or BSc degree in Environmental Sciences, Geography, Architecture, or Engineering is required. Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK without requiring Skilled Worker sponsorship now or in the future. The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate level of security clearance or assurance level as required by client and sector obligations.
