- Building Specialists – Fire Engineering: London, Manchester, Guildford & Edinburgh (Degrees: MEng Fire, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering)
- Building Structures: Cardiff (Degrees: MEng Civil and/or Structural Engineering)
- Civils – Rail Infrastructure: Leeds (Degrees: MEng Civil Engineering)
- Civils – Bridge Engineering: Bristol, Cardiff, Truro, Manchester & Birmingham (Degrees: MEng Civil Engineering)
- Civils – Maritime Engineering: London, Basingstoke or Newcastle (Degrees: MEng Civil Engineering)
- Earth & Environment – Acoustics: Bristol, South-East & London (Degrees: BSc or MSc Acoustics Engineering, Music Technology or Sound Engineering)
- Earth & Environmental – Nature Services: Reading (Degrees: BSc or MSc in Biodiversity, Biology, Ecology, Natural Resources Management, Environmental Policy, Sustainability Management or relevant degree)
- Cultural Heritage & Archaeology: Birmingham (Degrees: BA/MA in Heritage - Cultural, Built Landscape or Marine Archaeology or relevant qualification)
- Energy – Energy Networks: Glasgow, Edinburgh or Newcastle (Degrees: Electrical Engineering)
- Local Government: Exeter (Degrees: Civil Engineering)
- Roads: Limerick (Degrees: Civil Engineering)
- Water – Catchment Science: Shrewsbury (Degrees: Geography, Water Management, Water & Environmental Management, River Environments, Flood Management)
You will be embedded in an enthusiastic, friendly and supportive team working closely with our engineers and advisors, providing you with a challenging and fulfilling placement. You will have the opportunity to deal with internal and external stakeholders, collaborate with colleagues and adapt to dynamic project environments.
Scholarships at WSP
At the end of a placement, both students and their hosting teams will be invited to share feedback. If the experience has been positive and you are keen to return, WSP may offer a scholarship to support the remainder of your studies. Upon graduation, students who have successfully completed their placement and received strong feedback will be considered for a permanent graduate role, subject to availability. Successful students will then join WSP’s structured 2-year Graduate Development Programme.
Graduate Development Programme
Our two-year Graduate Development Programme is designed to help you build the skills, experience and professional network needed to thrive at the start of your career with us. Through a blend of structured learning, mentoring and hands-on project experience, you will be supported every step of the way.
Experience
You will be studying and working towards completing your degree with at least a predicted grade of a 2:2 in a Bachelors or Master’s degree. You should be in your penultimate year of studies or earlier in a relevant subject for the role you are applying for.
About you
You will have a passion for Sustainable Engineering, Planning and/or consulting solutions. You will want to inspire us by sharing new ideas. You should be enthusiastic, adaptable, and eager to learn in a dynamic project environment.
