About the Role
Are you motivated by creating sustainable change that benefits society and nature? Are you curious and open-minded? Join Ramboll's Air Quality team as an Air Quality Consultant and help close the gap to a sustainable future. You will provide air quality services for internal and external clients across industrial, residential, and commercial development projects, while assisting in the development of junior staff. This role involves working on national and international projects, with travel as required. You will deliver and help manage air quality projects both as part of multi-disciplinary teams and standalone assignments, support the air quality lead, and keep up to date with the latest regulations and standards. You will also contribute to winning new projects by preparing technical proposals, developing air quality services, upskilling colleagues, and strengthening client relationships. Additionally, you will support the development of new tools and techniques to improve service delivery. You will be part of a worldwide practice known for its high technical and scientific standards, working on a wide variety of projects including environmental impact assessments, infrastructure schemes, urban developments, industrial emissions assessments, dust and odour nuisance assessments, air quality monitoring, international ESHIA projects, and indoor air quality assessments. Ramboll is a global architecture, engineering, and consultancy company committed to sustainable change, with a culture that embraces diversity, inclusion, and personal development. The successful candidate will need to obtain United Kingdom security vetting clearance, with eligibility depending on individual circumstances.
Experience
Demonstrable relevant track record of delivering air quality assessments within the UK for a wide range of schemes. Experience using Air Dispersion Models (e.g., ADMS, ADMS-Roads) and GIS packages for digitisation of data input and output. Ability to interpret environmental guidelines, policies, plans, and legislative requirements and assess their applicability to projects. Understanding of the UK legal framework for air quality assessments related to planning applications and environmental permitting.
About you
Well organised and able to prioritise your own workload with minimal supervision. Motivated by making a positive difference to future developments. Curious, open-minded, and committed to sustainable change. Willing to support and develop junior staff and contribute to team success.
