About the Role
We are seeking a talented Principal Landscape Planner to join our growing team of 18 landscape architects and planners. You will lead diverse landscape planning projects including wind farms, solar, transmission, data centres, and urban developments across the UK and internationally. Working collaboratively with environmental and engineering specialists, you will develop technically robust deliverables and innovative solutions that balance the needs of people, nature, and the environment. At Ramboll, you will be part of a supportive environment that values combining skills to solve complex problems and build sustainable, resilient places.

Key responsibilities include applying advanced landscape planning and assessment expertise; leading substantial landscape components from research through to implementation; coordinating landscape workstreams to deliver high-quality outputs on time; conducting research, site visits, technical photography, and landscape assessments; interpreting landscape and visual information to identify effects, risks, and opportunities; preparing persuasive written, graphic, and technical materials for diverse audiences; collaborating with colleagues, clients, and external consultants; supporting senior colleagues and mentoring less experienced staff; managing workloads independently while contributing to proposals, resource planning, and process improvements.

Ramboll offers a flexible work environment, commitment to your development, and a culture that respects individuality and originality. Benefits include 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays, matched pension contributions, private medical cover, life assurance, and a remote working policy. Join us to work at the heart of sustainable change and help close the gap to a sustainable future.

- Strong knowledge of relevant industry standards, professional practice, legislation, and technical guidance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, GIS, Adobe Creative Suite, Autodesk and/or Revit.

About you
You are a diligent, proactive, and flexible professional who takes pride in producing high-quality work. You demonstrate sound attention to detail, a positive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to continuous learning. Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, you contribute positively to Ramboll’s culture. You are creative and analytical with sound professional judgement and the ability to contribute effectively across a wide range of projects and stages.
