About the Role
As an Air Quality Field Team Analyst at WSP, you will ensure that air pollutant monitoring equipment across the UK provides accurate and reliable measurements. Your responsibilities will include on-site testing, calibration, and documentation of air quality instruments, as well as data recording and processing to meet strict quality standards. You will review and ratify air pollution measurements using in-house software systems in compliance with UK Law and European Directives. The role involves significant travel, including several weeks per quarter away from the office, to carry out testing and calibration across various locations. You will also be involved in data processing, reporting, and ratification for publication on official UK and Scottish air quality platforms. Comprehensive training will be provided, and an understanding of current air pollution issues and relevant legislation is advantageous but not essential.
Experience
- Relevant experience in physical sciences, engineering, or environmental monitoring is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to conduct research, gather and analyse data accurately and methodically.
- Awareness of site safety issues.
- Experience driving company vehicles and handling equipment is required.

- Full, clean UK driving licence with solid driving experience.
- Physically capable of travel and lifting/unloading monitoring and testing equipment.
- IT literate with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and team working skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Self-reliant with good problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- A degree in Physical Sciences or Engineering is an advantage but not essential.
- Candidates demonstrating relevant experience will also be considered.
