Glasgow, with significant travel across Scotland and wider UK, including extended trips and overnight stays.

Hours
Field-based role requiring flexible working hours to accommodate travel and on-site testing schedules, including up to 4 overnight stays per week.

About the Role
As a Field Team Analyst Consultant, you will ensure that air pollutant monitoring equipment across the UK provides accurate and reliable air quality measurements. Your responsibilities include on-site testing, calibration, data recording, and processing of air quality instruments, all conducted to strict quality standards. You will review and ratify air pollution measurements using in-house software systems, following UK Law and European Directives. The role involves significant travel, including extended trips away from the office and overnight stays. You will work across Scotland and the wider UK, testing and calibrating air quality instruments, processing data, reporting, and ratifying data for official publication. Comprehensive training will be provided, and an understanding of air pollution issues and related legislation is advantageous but not essential.

Requirements

Experience
- Relevant experience in physical sciences, engineering, or related fields is valued. A degree in Physical Sciences or Engineering is an advantage but not essential.
- Ability to conduct research, gather and analyse data accurately and methodically.
- Experience with site safety awareness.
- Ability to drive a company van and handle physical tasks such as lifting and unloading equipment.

- Full, clean UK driving licence with solid driving experience.
- IT literacy with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and team working skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Self-reliant with good problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours including overnight stays.

Qualifications
- Degree in Physical Sciences or Engineering is preferred but not mandatory.
- Comprehensive training will be provided to support your development in the role.
