About the Role
As an Assistant Greenkeeper, you will support the maintenance, preparation, and presentation of high-quality playing surfaces and surrounding grounds. Your daily tasks will include turf care such as mowing, raking, edging, divoting, and general maintenance of greens, tees, fairways, bunkers, and roughs. You will operate and maintain specialist grounds machinery and hand tools safely, assist with irrigation, drainage, and turf renovation works including aeration, seeding, and topdressing. Additionally, you will help prepare the course and grounds for competitions and events, monitor turf health, and report any issues such as disease, pests, or damage. You will follow health and safety procedures at all times and support environmental and sustainability initiatives on site. General groundskeeping and maintenance duties will also be part of your role to ensure the course remains safe, attractive, and playable to the required standards.
Experience
Prior experience in golf course maintenance is preferred. Knowledge of turf maintenance and environmentally friendly practices is desirable.
