Our Regulated Water Asset Design team serves the municipal water sector both in the UK and internationally, holding long term framework agreements with water companies including Severn Trent Water and South West Water. We also maintain excellent relationships with blue chip contractors such as Costain and Galliford Try, delivering projects across the UK. We provide a full range of design services across wastewater treatment, water treatment, sewerage and water network schemes.

Due to significant growth in demand for our services, we are actively recruiting to support the AMP8 water industry capital investment programme. Whether you have relevant water industry design experience or are transitioning from another engineering sector, we offer tailored experience, mentoring, and training to support your career ambitions.

As an Associate or Associate Director Civil Engineer, you will take ownership of all aspects of project delivery including health & safety, technical quality, schedule, and budget. You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, shape service delivery, build client relationships, contribute to innovative approaches and digital products, and support the Future Ready and Net Zero programmes. You will also act as an ambassador for best practice, undertake bid preparation, resource and budget development, line manage and support graduate engineers and apprentices, contribute to recruitment, and continue developing your technical, managerial, and leadership skills.

Requirements

Experience
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- Chartered status or significant progression towards ICE or CIWEM membership
- Experience managing engineering design teams including civil engineers and supporting disciplines
- Proven track record delivering projects within budget and schedule
- Experience in checking or technical approval roles on linear civil engineering infrastructure or industrial/process design projects
- Experience mentoring or coaching junior civil engineering staff
- Client-facing experience with strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills

Qualifications
Degree in Civil Engineering and Chartered status or working towards professional membership of ICE or CIWEM.
