As Associate Director - Planning, you will work within capital delivery, collaborating with project teams and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for the simultaneous delivery of multiple water and water recycling projects and programmes within the AMP8 programme.
Your role will ensure adherence to project governance procedures including risk, cost, and change control. You will manage the planning function, ensuring effective scheduling and monitoring of projects and tenders, implementing planning and project controls procedures across portfolios to drive consistency and excellence.
You will oversee planning for complex projects and business units, delivering robust strategies aligned with organisational objectives. This role involves driving strategic direction, influencing business development, mentoring and developing teams, fostering collaboration and innovation, and championing sustainability including net zero goals.
Experience
Proven expertise in planning complex projects and programmes within capital delivery environments.
Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills.
Experience managing planning, scheduling, and project controls for complex programmes.
About you
Membership of APM, RICS, CIOB, ICE, AACE, IRM, IEMA or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
Ability to provide strategic advice, analysis, and corrective actions to stakeholders.
Strong leadership skills with experience in mentoring, talent development, and fostering collaboration.
Commitment to sustainability and knowledge of carbon considerations.
