About the Role
Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. Join our expanding Sizewell C (SZC) team and work on one of the most exciting and largest megaprojects in the UK, at the forefront of the UK’s climate change agenda and energy policy. Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, playing a key role in the UK’s energy future by supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years.

The Transformation PMO Lead role provides assurance, governance and oversight for business-critical programmes at Sizewell C, embedding best-practice standards, tools and processes, tracking key milestones and delivering robust reporting to support informed decision-making across the Transformation Portfolio.

Key responsibilities include supporting the Transformation Portfolio Manager with PMO activities such as RAID management, reporting and maintaining a fully integrated SZC Transformation plan; reviewing and validating programme and project plans; establishing a centralised, independent mechanism for visibility, tracking and escalation; monitoring and confirming stage gates and key milestones across all strategic projects; managing portfolio-level reporting including updates to the transformation SteerCo and escalation of risks or issues; overseeing interdependencies across the transformation portfolio and proactively identifying potential conflicts; managing the monthly portfolio dashboard; and supporting portfolio communications, stakeholder engagement and ad-hoc reporting requirements.

Experience
Degree-educated with strong foundations in project and portfolio management methodologies. Proven PMO leadership experience, including setting delivery standards, governance frameworks and assurance across complex portfolios. Strong planning, RAID management and change control capability across interdependent initiatives.

Excellent communication and influencing skills. Professional project management certification is desirable. You are motivated to work on a high-profile megaproject that supports the UK’s climate change agenda and energy policy.

Degree qualification required. Professional project management certification is desirable but not essential.
