As Associate Director - Risk, you will be accountable for the risk management performance on assigned commission(s). You will create and implement effective risk management frameworks and strategies, manage and direct clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams on all risk management matters. Acting as the risk management subject matter expert, you will oversee the delivery of quantitative risk analysis (cost and time), advise on contingency adequacy as part of the regular reporting cycle, and ensure all activities comply with Mace control centre, client requirements, and prevailing legislation.
You will provide line management to junior risk managers and other project/programme staff, mentor and assist in their personal and career development, innovate and align with industry best practice to ensure continued service excellence, and direct the delivery of a high-performing risk team. Additionally, you will support the Hub Risk Lead with resourcing and recruitment for the assigned commission.
Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, you will share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of associated carbon emissions and reductions during project delivery.
Experience
At least 10 years’ experience or equivalent as a risk management leader delivering a range of project risk management services on major construction programmes.

Qualifications
Relevant university degree (e.g. risk management, engineering) or equivalent.
Chartered (or equivalent) membership of relevant professional institution(s) such as the Association of Project Managers or Institute of Risk Management.
