Due to current workloads and future prospects, WSP has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, self-starting and motivated Major Hazards, Process Safety and Risk Consultant. You will join a busy and successful team of process safety and risk professionals who collaborate with both external clients and internal WSP projects. This role will interest those who are technically excellent, deliver to high standards, build successful customer relationships and enjoy winning new business. Reporting to a senior member of the team, you will be quickly integrated into a closely aligned team of process safety professionals with opportunities to work across other parts of the WSP community.

Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering and leading high-quality projects to clients across several industry sectors, including energy transition, oil & gas (onshore and offshore), chemical and major infrastructure sectors.
- Using proven expertise in consultancy for major hazard management, technical safety, risk assessment, process safety management, COMAH Safety Report preparation, offshore Safety Case preparation, and functional safety.
- Managing client relationships and winning work.
- Producing high quality deliverables on time and on budget.
- Managing projects and mentoring junior team members.

Requirements

Experience
Proven experience managing major accident hazards onshore and/or offshore facilities. Experience in energy transition projects is desirable.

Self-starting, motivated and technically excellent professional who delivers to high standards. Strong relationship builder with a passion for winning new business. Able to work collaboratively within a team and across wider business units. Effective project manager and mentor for junior team members.

Qualifications
Relevant qualifications in process safety, risk management or related disciplines are expected. Specific certifications or training related to major hazard management, COMAH Safety Reports, Safety Case preparation, or functional safety will be advantageous.
