About the Role
The Big Chalk Partnership is a collaboration of over 150 organisations united by a vision to create nature-rich chalk and limestone landscapes that benefit everyone. Supported by the Protected Landscapes Partnership and Defra, the Partnership is driving progress towards the UK’s nature commitments through the multi-million pound Big Chalk Nature Recovery Fund. As the Nature Recovery Fund Officer, you will be responsible for administering and developing the systems and processes that underpin our grant-making activities. Hosted by the National Landscapes Association, a charity representing the UK’s National Landscapes (Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty), the role involves working within a team that advocates, communicates, and fosters collaborative action to support National Landscapes in delivering national projects and championing their interests with governments. This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with Big Chalk’s partners to maximise benefits for nature, ensuring our grant-making is both effective and compliant.
Experience
Significant experience in administering and developing grant-making systems, processes, and ways of working within the environmental or social sectors. Proven ability to work collaboratively with partners across the grant-making lifecycle and experience using grant management software to support related operations.

Excellent organisational and data management skills, with the ability to develop and communicate insights clearly and effectively. Motivated by working towards nature recovery and environmental benefit.
