Glasgow office with hybrid working arrangements. Site visits required as necessary to support progress meetings and key commercial activities during the construction phase; this is not a site-based role.

About the Role
This is your opportunity to take the next step in your Building Surveying career within WSP’s growing Property & Buildings team in Glasgow. You will be part of a dynamic and expanding team delivering a broad range of building surveying services across the UK, including education, healthcare, commercial, and public sector estates. The role involves delivering refurbishment and maintenance projects, advising on complex building defects, and contributing to asset strategies. With 1–2 years’ post-qualification experience, you will be trusted with greater responsibility, client exposure, and ownership of your work while continuing to develop technically and professionally.
Key responsibilities include leading building surveys, condition assessments, and defect diagnosis; delivering technical reports, specifications, and feasibility studies; managing refurbishment and planned works programmes; acting as Contract Administrator including site inspections, valuations, and progress reporting; delivering dilapidations instructions and supporting negotiations; contributing to asset management and lifecycle planning; developing strong client relationships and supporting business development; and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, cost consultancy, and sustainability.
You will work on meaningful, often community-focused projects, seeing the tangible impact of your work across the UK. This role offers stability, project variety, and clear progression driven by long-term framework appointments and increasing demand for strategic building advice.
Experience
1–2 years post-qualification experience within a consultancy or similar environment.
Strong technical knowledge of building construction, pathology, and refurbishment.
Experience in project delivery and contract administration.
Ability to manage own workload and contribute to multiple commissions.

Qualifications
Degree in Building Surveying or a RICS-accredited related discipline.
