About the Role
Join Mace as a Chartered Senior Cost Consultant within our cost and commercial management team, focusing on key strategic clients in the education sector. This senior manager role offers a competitive package including a £7,200 cash car allowance, discretionary bonus, 7% pension, life assurance, medical benefits, and 27 days leave plus bank holidays. You will provide comprehensive cost management services from project inception to completion across various sectors, with a strong emphasis on education projects. Your responsibilities will include managing feasibility studies, advising on procurement strategies, cost planning, valuations, and reporting. You will oversee contract preparation, administration, and final accounts, apply value management techniques, evaluate claims, manage design change costs, and drive stakeholder engagement and team leadership. Additionally, you will implement process improvements, mentor team members, and support net zero carbon initiatives across project delivery. Experience
Proven experience in cost and commercial management within the education/public sector. Detailed knowledge of NEC contracts and expertise in value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law, and contractual frameworks related to construction.

Qualifications
