About the Role
Join Mace as a Chartered Senior Cost Consultant within our cost and commercial management team, focusing on key strategic clients in the education sector. This senior manager role offers a competitive package including a £7,200 cash car allowance, discretionary bonus, 7% pension, life assurance, medical benefits, and 27 days leave plus bank holidays. You will provide comprehensive cost management services from project inception to completion across various sectors, with a primary focus on education. Responsibilities include managing feasibility studies and procurement strategies, cost planning, valuations, and reporting, overseeing contract preparation and administration, applying value management techniques, evaluating claims and design change costs, driving stakeholder engagement, leading teams, implementing process improvements, mentoring colleagues, and supporting net zero carbon initiatives throughout project delivery.

Experience
Chartered MRICS with extensive experience in quantity surveying or cost management, preferably within the education or public sector. Detailed knowledge of NEC contracts and strong expertise in value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law, and contractual frameworks related to construction.

Qualifications
Degree in quantity surveying, cost management, or equivalent qualification. Chartered status (MRICS) is essential.
