About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Climate & Sustainability Project Manager to join the Climate & Sustainability (C&S) Strategy Team at Marsh, based in our London office. This hybrid role requires a minimum of three days per week onsite and up to two days working from home. You will lead and manage projects within the team, ensuring successful implementation and delivery of climate and sustainability initiatives. Working closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners, you will drive initiatives that help clients navigate climate and sustainability challenges. The role involves project planning and execution, climate and sustainability strategy development, stakeholder engagement, communication, monitoring, and reporting. This position is suitable for an experienced Project Manager from the insurance sector seeking to focus on climate and sustainability or an experienced client-facing insurance professional looking to transition into project management with a passion for sustainability and climate work.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing project plans, timelines, and budgets; coordinating with internal teams and across Marsh McLennan Companies globally; monitoring project progress and risks; driving project outcomes; and communicating milestones to stakeholders. Staying current with climate and sustainability issues and regulatory requirements is essential. You will also support Marsh and MMC’s ambitions in the climate risk space through research and analytics, build and maintain stakeholder relationships, and communicate project goals and outcomes through reports and presentations. Data collection and analysis related to initiative adoption and climate resilience will also be part of your role.
Experience
- Background in the commercial insurance industry
- Familiarity with climate and sustainability (C&S) issues and ESG
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools
- Stakeholder engagement and public speaking experience is a plus
