The Commercial Manager (FTC) will support our UK energy services business by carrying out commercial analysis and advising the management team to inform business decisions. This senior role involves ownership of commercial policy, processes and reviews from initial prospecting through contract signature and ongoing commercial management through to contract completion.
Key responsibilities include supporting Sales, Development, Engineering, Construction, O&M and M&V teams to ensure successful contract setup and delivery on commercially reasonable terms; leading due diligence on commercial deals; developing innovative commercial solutions; preparing business plans and financial models; approving and monitoring contractual arrangements; supporting budget preparation and forecasts; creating and maintaining data analytics tools for key performance indicators; contributing to UK and European strategy development; scanning for M&A opportunities and participating in acquisition processes; maintaining the business-level key risk register and managing mitigations; establishing and maintaining key internal and external relationships; and adhering to and improving QMS procedures.
Experience
- Minimum 2:1 degree in Business or Accounting.
- Proven track record of leading or advising on commercial deals and negotiations to deliver growth.
- Experience with complex strategic sales and deals in the Energy Services or similar sector.
- Confident and experienced in advising and communicating with senior decision makers.
- Experience working on UK Public Sector Tender Frameworks such as ReFIT, Essentia, CEF, SNDEE, LHC.
- Commercially and financially astute with experience analysing and negotiating client contracts including EPC, O&M, ESPC, PPA, EaaS.
- Experience conducting due diligence on investments in the energy sector.
- Demonstrated commitment to environmental, social and governance principles.
- Passionate about supporting the energy transition.

Strong organisational skills are essential, including the ability to prioritise work under pressure and meet deadlines. Willingness to travel across the UK and Europe is required.
