About the Role
We are seeking a talented Consultant Arboriculturist to join our well-established environmental business at Tetra Tech, Inc. This role offers the opportunity to grow and develop an arboricultural team working closely alongside our multi-award winning ecology and natural capital teams. You will contribute to a diverse project portfolio within a multidisciplinary consultancy, collaborating with colleagues from Planning, Placemaking, Engineering, Transportation, and Asset Management. The role involves proactive relationship building, client liaison, and delivering high-quality arboricultural advice across sectors including Residential, Defence, Energy, Government Services, and Transport.
Key responsibilities include conducting BS 5837 arboricultural surveys, veteran and ancient tree assessments, visual tree assessments, safety and risk surveys, and providing management advice. You will prepare a variety of reports such as tree survey schedules, Tree Constraints and Opportunities Plans, Management Plans, Impact Assessments, and Method Statements. Liaising with local authorities regarding tree protection legislation, supervising site works, attending client meetings, preparing fee proposals and tenders, and undertaking quality assurance of reports and plans are also essential duties. Additionally, you will support the Natural Capital team in arboricultural matters.
Tetra Tech offers a flexible and supportive working environment focused on talent and skills rather than location, with a commitment to work/life balance and professional development. We encourage applications from candidates seeking a meaningful step-change in their career within a global, science-led consultancy.
