About the Role

Join Tetra Tech's NALO (Noise, Air Quality, Lighting and Odour) team of over 30 multidisciplinary environmental consultants. You will work on a wide range of projects, from small-scale planning applications to major infrastructure developments, undertaking surveys, modelling, and assessments to evaluate air quality effects from new housing, industrial, commercial, and educational developments. Your work will help protect existing and future residents as well as sensitive ecological species from air pollution impacts. The role involves producing air quality assessments, conducting environmental surveys (sometimes requiring overnight stays and occasional weekends), and using innovative computer-based modelling techniques. We are recruiting across various levels up to Principal, with responsibilities including project management, quality assurance reviews, and mentoring junior team members. The role requires a flexible approach to working hours and locations, with the team primarily based in Leicester, Manchester, Leeds, and London offices.
Key Responsibilities

Experience
- Proven track record in air quality consultancy with examples of relevant skills and projects
- Experience using ADMS Roads modelling software
- Experience with AERMOD and GIS software preferred but not essential
- Project management experience
- Experience undertaking peer reviews for quality assurance
- Experience working collaboratively with clients and external organisations
- Ability to interpret geospatial data accurately for survey locations
- Ability to use technical equipment in the field with minimal supervision
- Willingness to work flexibly to meet tight deadlines

Qualifications
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
- Full manual UK driving licence essential
