You will have the ambition to develop your technical skills and career within a defined career pathway.
Tetra Tech is a leading global provider of high-end consulting and engineering services, combining the resources of a multibillion-dollar company with local, client-focused delivery in over 400 locations worldwide. Working within a multidisciplinary consultancy, you will collaborate regularly with colleagues from Planning, Placemaking, Engineering, Transportation, and Asset Management teams.
The role involves proactive relationship building, site work, and supporting project delivery from tendering through to completion. You will undertake BS 5837 arboricultural surveys, veteran and ancient tree assessments, visual tree assessments, safety and risk surveys, and provide management advice for a variety of projects locally and nationally.
We operate a fully flexible, hybrid working model that allows you to choose where, how, and when you work, provided our clients receive the high-quality service they expect. Some office or alternative workspace attendance may be required to support collaboration and client engagement.
We welcome discussions around flexible working arrangements to support your work/life balance and are open to deferring start dates for the right candidate.
Experience
- Proven experience conducting BS 5837 surveys and reporting, including use of surveying equipment and digital tools.
- Strong arboricultural identification skills, including knowledge of pests, diseases, and fungi affecting tree risk and lifespan.
- Experience in line management, recruiting, training, and developing staff.
- Experience in quality assurance and producing high-quality technical reports and outputs.
- Experience liaising with local authorities regarding tree protection such as TPOs and Conservation Areas.
- Ability to prepare fee proposals and competitive tenders.
- Full UK driving licence.
About you
You are ambitious, proactive, and able to adapt your technical knowledge to meet specific client and project requirements. You have excellent communication skills and enjoy working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams. You are motivated to develop your career within a supportive and innovative consultancy environment.
