About the Role
Join our Ecology Talent Network and take the next step in your career as an Ecologist at Stantec. We are recruiting ecologists at all levels across the UK to work on nationally significant projects that balance sustainable development with the protection and enhancement of the natural environment. You will collaborate with a supportive, multidisciplinary team and work alongside regional leadership to deliver ecological expertise across a diverse portfolio of projects. Your role will support clients from the earliest planning stages through to project delivery, contributing to high-profile infrastructure, environmental and development projects that make a lasting positive impact on communities and biodiversity. Experience
- Proven consultancy background in ecology
- Experience delivering a wide range of ecological surveys, assessments and reporting
- Strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation, planning policy and environmental regulations
- Experience preparing Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIA), Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEA), Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) assessments and protected species reports
- Ability to manage projects, build strong client relationships and provide technical guidance

About You
- Passionate and experienced ecology professional
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative team player with a proactive approach
- Willingness to contribute to a growing Ecology team and support sustainable development

Qualifications
- Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, Biology or related discipline
- Membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM), with Chartered Ecologist status desirable for senior positions
