About the Role

Join Tetra Tech’s multidisciplinary NALO (Noise, Air Quality, Lighting and Odour) team of over 30 environmental consultants. You will undertake surveys, modelling, and assessments to evaluate air quality impacts from a variety of developments including housing schemes, industrial and commercial projects, educational facilities, and major infrastructure sites. Your work will help protect residents, future occupants, and sensitive ecological species from air pollution effects. The role involves producing air quality assessments, conducting environmental surveys (which may occasionally require overnight stays or weekend work), and applying innovative computer-based modelling techniques such as ADMS Roads. You will also have opportunities to contribute to odour assessments and other environmental consultancy services. We are recruiting across various levels up to Principal, with responsibilities including project management, quality assurance reviews, and mentoring junior team members. Our team operates with a flexible approach to location but values regular in-office collaboration in Leicester, Manchester, Leeds, or London.

Experience
- Proven track record in air quality consultancy with demonstrable skills and project examples
- Experience using ADMS Roads modelling software
- Experience with AERMOD and GIS software preferred but not essential
- Project management experience
- Experience undertaking peer reviews for quality assurance
- Experience working collaboratively with clients and external organisations
- Ability to interpret geospatial data accurately
- Comfortable using technical equipment in the field with minimal supervision
- Willingness to work flexibly to meet tight deadlines
