About the Role
Shield Safety Group, one of the UK's leading Environmental Health and Safety Consultancies, is seeking an experienced Environmental Health Consultancy Manager to lead and develop a high-performing team of Environmental Health Practitioners (EHPs). This senior role reports directly to the Head of Consultancy and is pivotal in shaping strategic delivery and client impact across retail, hospitality, leisure, and food manufacturing sectors. You will provide expert guidance to embed robust compliance systems and help clients achieve best-in-class Food Safety and Health & Safety performance. Key responsibilities include leading and mentoring a multidisciplinary team, managing delivery of consultancy services in Food Safety, Fire Safety and Health & Safety, acting as a trusted advisor to major UK clients, ensuring consultancy output is practical and commercially aligned, collaborating with internal teams to support business growth, maintaining quality and governance standards, supporting CPD pathways, and providing strategic insights to senior leadership.

What We Offer

Experience
Proven leadership experience managing and developing multidisciplinary teams of Environmental Health Practitioners. Strong background in Health & Safety, Food Safety, or Environmental Health consultancy. Experience working with major UK clients in retail, hospitality, leisure, or food manufacturing sectors. Comfortable with remote and UK-wide field-based working. Skilled in reporting to senior leadership and supporting organisational strategy.

Confident communicator able to translate technical Environmental Health advice into clear business solutions. Strong client relationship skills with excellent commercial awareness. Motivated to lead and mentor a team while driving high-impact improvements in safety performance. Forward-thinking and strategic in approach.
Qualifications
Qualified Environmental Health Practitioner (CIEH Registered, Chartered, EHRB or EHORB).
