About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Commercial Team at Liverpool City Council as an Environmental Health Officer. This role places you at the heart of a passionate and dynamic department critical to delivering the Council’s services. The position involves a wide range of regulatory functions, balancing proportionate risk-based enforcement interventions to local businesses. You will carry out food hygiene inspections, reactive and proactive health and safety enforcement, infectious disease controls, complaint investigations, sampling, and project work. You will manage your own workload and have the opportunity to apply your professional skills and knowledge to improve standards across the city.

Experience
Experience in environmental health or related regulatory enforcement is desirable to effectively manage a varied workload including inspections, investigations, and enforcement activities.
