About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Commercial team at Liverpool City Council as a Graduate Environmental Health Officer. This fixed-term role is designed for graduates to gain practical experience and complete the CIEH Environmental Health Practitioner (EHP) portfolio within 24 months. You will be at the heart of a passionate and dynamic department critical to delivering the Council's services. The role involves a wide range of regulatory functions including food hygiene inspections, reactive and proactive health and safety enforcement, infectious disease controls, complaint investigations, sampling, and project work. You will take responsibility for your own ward area and have the opportunity to apply your professional skills and knowledge to improve standards across the city. Requirements

Experience
Recent graduate with an accredited Environmental Health Degree (BSc, MSc or equivalent). No prior professional experience required but a strong willingness to learn and develop is essential.

Qualifications
Accredited Environmental Health Degree (BSc, MSc or equivalent) required to undertake the CIEH EHP portfolio. Eligibility to work in the UK is essential prior to employment commencement.
