About the Role
Kronospan Ltd is committed to sustainability and environmental responsibility. We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Manager to lead our efforts in maintaining and enhancing our environmental performance while ensuring compliance with regulations. This is an operational, site-based compliance role focused on permit management, regulatory liaison, and environmental risk control at a manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing environmental strategies and programs to support the company’s continual improvements and sustainability goals. Key responsibilities include overseeing environmental compliance, conducting risk assessments, and working cross-functionally to foster a culture of environmental management. This role is not focused on corporate ESG, sustainability reporting, or carbon strategy. You will lead projects to reduce environmental footprint, prepare reports, and collaborate with internal teams and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Experience
At least 5 years’ experience in environmental management or a similar role with hands-on regulatory and permit management experience. Proven experience working with regulatory bodies such as Natural Resources Wales, Environment Agency, or other national/local regulators is essential.

You are a confident environmental professional who combines strong technical knowledge with practical problem-solving skills and a genuine passion for sustainability. You have excellent project management and communication skills, the ability to analyse complex data and generate actionable insights, and a proactive approach to environmental risk control and compliance.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as IEMA or NEBOSH Environmental are essential.
