About the Role
KRONOSPAN, the global leader in wood product manufacturing and distribution, is seeking an experienced and organised Recycling Centre Manager to lead operations at our facility in Corbriggs. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day management of one of our wood recycling centres, ensuring efficient operations, compliance with environmental regulations, and the timely delivery of recycled material to our manufacturing site in Wrexham, North Wales. You will manage all operational aspects including staffing, resource allocation, and facility maintenance while promoting sustainable waste management practices. Key responsibilities include supervising and mentoring a team of operatives, ensuring health, safety and environmental compliance, optimising waste processing and recycling streams, maintaining accurate operational records, managing budgets, liaising with customers and suppliers, resolving operational challenges, and maintaining a safe and organised facility environment.
Experience
Proven experience in waste management, recycling operations, or facility management within a similar environment is essential. Demonstrated supervisory or management experience with the ability to lead and motivate teams effectively. Previous experience within a wood-recycling facility is advantageous.

First Aid at Work certification or willingness to obtain is desirable.
Qualifications
CIWM (WAMITAB) Level 4 qualification. IOSH or NEBOSH certification. Comprehensive understanding of UK health and safety legislation, including the Health & Safety at Work Act, and relevant environmental regulations. Proficiency in inventory management systems and reporting software.
